February 11, 2018, 11:45am. Petty Theft. 29 year old Caucasian male, 5’10”, was seen handling multiple loose items in the store’s jewelry case. Following this interaction, a valuable piece of merchandise was discovered to be missing. The sales staff alerted the Loss Prevention Officer who immediately detained the suspect. While in custody, the suspect was questioned and strip searched following standard protocols. Additional measures were taken to find the missing item, including a thorough cavity search. The item was subsequently retrieved. An understanding was reached by the suspect and the Loss Prevention Officer, and he was released without involvement of law enforcement. $399.99 retail value recovered for the store without incident.
