When Elder Holland thinks about the way President Oaks has seen him behave in the past, he is embarrassed. He has performed sexual acts outsideof priest ordination several times with his fellow missionaries. Even more grave is the fact that some of these transgressions have occurred with Elder Oaks, President Oaks’s own stepson. This alone, Holland thinks, should be enough to sew a seed of distrust in the priest’s heart. But somehow, President Oaks has only been sweet and encouraging, just as his stepson has been. It seems that goodness runs in their family blood.
